Title: Strengthening Local Organizations for Sustainable Development
1. Background/Introduction:
Local organizations play a critical role in addressing community needs, but many lack the necessary resources, knowledge, and skills to operate effectively. This capacity-building project aims to strengthen the organizational, managerial, and technical abilities of local non-profit organizations to enhance their sustainability and impact. By equipping them with key skills in governance, financial management, strategic planning, and program development, the project will enable these organizations to better serve their communities and achieve long-term development goals.
2. Objectives:
- To enhance the capacity of 20 local organizations in governance, leadership, and program management.
- To improve financial management and accountability practices among participating organizations.
- To equip organizations with the tools and skills needed for effective strategic planning and resource mobilization.
- To foster sustainable development practices that can be replicated across communities.
3. Target Audience/Beneficiaries:
- Local non-profit organizations and community-based organizations (CBOs).
- Organizational leaders, board members, and staff members.
- Indirect beneficiaries: local communities served by these organizations.
4. Description of Activities:
- Training Workshops: Sessions on leadership, governance, financial management, and monitoring and evaluation (M&E).
- One-on-One Mentorship: Personalized coaching for organizational leaders on strategic planning and fundraising.
- Resource Development: Providing toolkits and templates for financial management, grant writing, and impact assessment.
- Networking Events: Facilitating peer learning and collaboration between organizations.
- Follow-up Support: Ongoing technical assistance to ensure the application of learned skills and strategies.

- Strengthened financial accountability and transparency among participants.
