A narrative is a story or a way of describing a series of events. It is the process of telling a story through carefully used words. To expound on something that has happened. To tell a story about something. A representation of a story you want to tell in the form of narrating it.

Tips on Writing an Interview Narrative Report

  • Draft your report- Before you write a full report, and to avoid having to forget what you write, it is important to start with a draft. Use keywords and phrases you got from the interview and draft them into a sentence.
  • Add necessary details – Once you have made the draft, add the necessary details. The details you remembered. Add as well the information given and how the candidate answered the questions. Put feelings to what you have seen.
  • Use easy and understandable words- When writing the report, avoid using difficult or unhelpful words. Avoid abbreviations as well as avoid giving negative words about the candidate and the way they answered the questions.
  • Write the final output – Once you have finished drafting your report, write the final output. Add all that you have written in the draft.
  • Revise your work- Before submitting, check your work. The tone, the appropriate word usage, the information and grammar.
