Narrative

On October 21, 2024, at approximately 10:30 AM, I, Officer David Miller, was dispatched to 789 Park Avenue to respond to a report of stolen property. Upon arrival, I spoke with the victim, Jennifer Wilson, who stated that her laptop and several valuable items were stolen from her home sometime between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM on October 20, 2024.

Wilson reported that she had left her home at 3:00 PM to visit a friend and returned at 6:00 PM to find her back door unlocked. Upon further inspection, she noticed her Apple MacBook Pro, diamond bracelet, and approximately $200 in cash were missing from her living room. Wilson said she had locked the door before leaving, and no signs of forced entry were found.

Wilson confirmed that no one else had access to her home and that she has no knowledge of who might be responsible. I conducted a search of the house and surrounding area but found no evidence of forced entry or tools used to unlock the door. No witnesses were identified, and no surveillance cameras were present in the area.

Wilson was advised to file an insurance claim and provided the necessary documentation.
