Dear Ms. Davidson,
I am writing this letter to formally resign from my volunteer position at Helping Hands Community Center, effective two weeks from today, February 27, 2024. This decision was not easy for me, as my time with Helping Hands has been incredibly rewarding and fulfilling.
Throughout my tenure, I have been honored to work alongside a dedicated team of volunteers and staff, all committed to making a difference in our community. The experiences I have gained, the people I have met, and the lives we have touched together have profoundly impacted me. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such meaningful work.
However, due to personal commitments and a need to rebalance my priorities, I find it necessary to step back from my volunteer duties at this time. I want to ensure that I leave my responsibilities in good hands and do not disrupt the ongoing projects or the center’s operations.
Over the next two weeks, I am committed to assisting with the transition of my duties and responsibilities. I am more than willing to help train other volunteers, complete any pending tasks, and provide all necessary information to ensure a smooth handover.
Please let me know how I can best support this process and if there are any specific areas where you believe my assistance will be most valuable during this transition period.
I cannot express enough my gratitude for the support, encouragement, and camaraderie I have received at Helping Hands Community Center. Though I am stepping down from my role, I hope to remain involved with the center in a more limited capacity in the future and continue to support its valuable mission in any way I can.
Thank you again for the opportunity to be a part of this exceptional community. I look forward to seeing the continued impact of Helping Hands and hope to contribute to its success in new ways moving forward.
Warmest regards,
Roderick Lawrence
