Attached to this letter, you will find a medical report from Lincoln General Hospital, documenting my mother’s condition and the necessity of urgent care on that day. I believe this situation constitutes a mitigating circumstance, and while I understand the importance of adhering to speed limits, my primary concern was ensuring the well-being of my mother.

I deeply regret any disregard for traffic laws this incident may imply and have taken measures to ensure it does not happen again, including enrolling in a defensive driving course. I trust this letter provides a clearer understanding of my actions on January 15 and respectfully request the court to consider the mitigating circumstances when determining the penalty.
