Dear Mr. Clarkson,

I am writing to formally resign from my position as an English Teacher at Peaceville High School, effective May 25, 2024. This decision has not been easy and comes after careful consideration of my professional and personal aspirations.

During my time at Peaceville High School, I have been committed to providing a nurturing environment and quality education to my students. However, I have found myself in a work environment that has increasingly diverged from my personal values and professional standards. Despite my best efforts to adapt and engage constructively with colleagues to foster a positive work atmosphere, the persistent negativity has significantly impacted my well-being and job satisfaction.

I am grateful for the opportunities for professional development that I have encountered during my tenure here. I have grown considerably as an educator and have cherished the relationships I have built with many of my peers and students. As I move forward, I will take with me the valuable experiences and lessons that I have learned.

I assure you that I will continue to fulfill my teaching responsibilities with the utmost professionalism in the remaining weeks. I will also assist in the transition process to ensure that my successor can continue to support our students effectively.

Thank you for your understanding and support during this transition. I wish Peaceville High School success in its future endeavors and hope that the environment improves for the staff and pupils who deserve the best educational experience.
